The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the heaven is torn away. 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 and the night that falls, 17 And the breath of morning 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
