Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble recorders, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
