And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and earth and that between them except in truth. And indeed, the Hour is coming; so forgive with gracious forgiveness. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Those who ascribe another God along with Allah; so they will soon come to know. 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
