And this is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 And was this not a sign for them, that the scholars of the Descendants of Israel may recognise this Prophet? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 And thy movements among those who fall prostrate. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
