Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Many faces will be contrite on that day, 2 Toiling, weary, 3 They shall roast into the scalding Fire, 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 Which neither give strength nor satisfy the hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 in a sublime garden, 10 hearing there no babble; 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 therein uplifted couches 13 and goblets laid out, 14 and cushions ranged, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 and on the mountains, how they are firmly set up, 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 You are not a watcher over them; 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26
