O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 But they cut off their religion among themselves into sects, each part rejoicing in that which is with them. 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone in their dark ignorance for an appointed time. 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the communications of their Lord, 58 And those who join not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord; 59 who give what they give, with their hearts quaking, that they will return to their Lord: 60 those vie in good works, outracing to them. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 My verses were recited to you, but you turned upon your heels, 66 behaving arrogantly, and making fun, and talking nonsense (about the Book in your nightly chats)." 67 Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? 68 Or, is it that they recognised not their apostle, and so of him they become deniers? 69 Do they say he is mad! No, he came to them with the truth, but most of them hate the truth. 70 But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 and, most surely, you are calling them to a straight path. 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ Were We to be merciful to them and remove from them their present afflictions, they would persist in their transgression, blindly wandering on. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat. 77
