The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
