The Comet (Al-Taareq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17
