And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink. 33 So if you follow a man like yourself you will certainly be doomed. 34 Doth he promise you that you, when ye are dead and have become dust and bones, will (again) be brought forth? 35 ۞ Away! away with that wherewith ye are promised; 36 There is naught but our life of the world; we die and we live, and we shall not be raised (again). 37 He is nothing but a man who has forged against Allah a lie, we will never believe him' 38 He said, 'O my Lord, help me, for that they cry me lies.' 39 [Allah] said, "After a little, they will surely become regretful." 40 And the Cry seized them justly, and We made them as scum; so away with the people of the evildoers! 41 Then after them We brought forth other generations. 42 Every nation has an appointed life span. 43 Then sent We our messengers in succession: every time there came to a people their messenger, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe! 44 Then We sent Moses and his brother Aaron with Our tokens and a clear warrant 45 To Firon and his chiefs, but they behaved haughtily and they were an insolent people. 46 They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?" 47 So they rejected them both, and became those who were destroyed. 48 for, indeed, We had vouchsafed revelation unto Moses in order that they might find the right way. 49 We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and gave them a refuge on a hillside where there was a hollow and a spring. 50
