We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
