The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the morning hours 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
