Did the unbelievers (who do not accept the teaching of the Prophet) not realize that the heavens and the earth were one solid mass, then We tore them apart, and We made every living being out of water? Will they, then, not believe (that We created all this)? 30 And We have made great mountains in the earth lest it might be convulsed with them, and We have made in it wide ways that they may follow a right direction. 31 We established the heaven as a well protected roof, yet they still turn away from its signs. 32 And He it is Who has created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit floating. 33 We have not assigned to any mortal before thee to live forever; therefore, if thou diest, will they live forever? 34 Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned. 35 When the unbelievers behold thee, they take thee only for mockery: 'Ha, is this the one who makes mention of your gods?' Yet they in the Remembrance of the All-merciful are unbelievers. 36 Man is made of haste. I shall show you My portents, but ask Me not to hasten. 37 And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" 38 If only those who deny the truth knew the time when they would not be able to ward off the fire neither from their faces nor from their backs. They will not be helped! 39 It will come upon them unawares confounding them, and they will not be able to keep it back, nor will they be given respite. 40 Messengers before thee, indeed, were mocked, but that whereat they mocked surrounded those who scoffed at them. 41
