The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
