In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are verses of the Book of Wisdom 2 A guidance and a mercy for the doers of goodness, 3 who establish the prayer, pay the obligatory charity, and firmly believe in the Everlasting Life. 4 It is they who are on true guidance from their Lord, and it is they who shall prosper. 5 There are some people who would purchase distracting talk, to lead astray from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and take it in mockery; for those is a humiliating punishment. 6 For, whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a one, he turns away in his arrogance as though he had not heard them - as though there were deafness in his ears. Give him, then, the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 (As for) those who believe and do good, they shall surely have gardens of bliss, 8 They shall abide in them forever. This is Allah's promise that shall come true. He is the Most Powerful, the Most Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 [All] this is God's creation: show Me, then, what others than He may have created! Nay, but the evildoers are obviously lost in error! 11
