The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 and the scarers scaring 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
