1/2 Hizb 46
< random >
Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 And We gave to him his family, and the like of them with them, as a mercy from us, and a reminder unto men possessed of minds; 43 And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with It and do not break your oath; surely We found him patient; most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah). 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 In Our sight they are among the chosen and excellent ones. 47 And remember Ismail and Yasa’a (Elisha) and Zul-Kifl; and they are all excellent. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 #NAME? 50 wherein they recline, and wherein they call for fruits abundant, and sweet potions, 51 ۞ They will have bashful wives of equal age with them. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 However, the rebellious ones will have the worst place to return. 55 Gehenna, wherein they are roasted - an evil cradling! 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 and other such torments. 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 adding, "Our Lord, give double punishment to those who brought this upon us." 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
