The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and brightening morning, 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 where then are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
