Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
