Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Have you heard the story of the overwhelming event (the Day of Judgment)? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 labouring, weary, 3 they shall enter a burning Fire 4 watered at a boiling fountain, 5 no food for them but cactus thorn 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 Glad for their effort past, 9 In a lofty garden, 10 Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity: 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 [and] there will be thrones [of happiness] raised high, 13 And chosen goblets. 14 And cushions ranged 15 And silken carpets spread. 16 Do (these unbelievers) not observe the camels: how they were created? 17 and on the sky, how it is raised aloft, 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
