And indeed, We created man from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. 26 while We had brought the jinn into being before out of blazing fire. 27 And lo! Thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create mortal man out of sounding clay, out of dark slime transmuted; 28 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him in prostration! 29 then the angels all prostrated themselves together. 30 except Iblis; he refused to join those who prostrated. 31 Said He: "O Iblis! What is thy reason for not being among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! 33 God told him, "Get out of the garden; you are rejected 34 “And indeed you are accursed till the Day of Judgement.” 35 Satan said, "O my Lord! Grant me respite till the Day of Resurrection." 36 The Lord said, "Your request is granted 37 for an appointed time." 38 (satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all, 39 "Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them." 40 Allah said: "Here is the path that leads straight to Me. 41 “Indeed you do not have any power over My bondmen, except those wanderers who follow you.” (The devil is unsuccessful in tempting Allah’s chosen bondmen to commit sin.) 42 And surely Hell is the promised place of them all: 43 Seven gates it has, and unto each gate a set portion of them belongs.' 44
