Exalted is He who put constellations in the heavens, a radiant lamp and an illuminating moon -- 61 And it is He Who created the alternation of the night and day for one who wishes to remember or intends to give thanks. 62 The servants of the All-merciful are those who walk in the earth modestly and who, when the ignorant address them, say, 'Peace'; 63 And who spend the night prostrating and standing, for their Lord. 64 And who say: Our Lord! Avert from us the doom of hell; lo! the doom thereof is anguish; 65 It is a terrible abode and an evil station," 66 And those, who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but hold a medium (way) between those (extremes). 67 And they who do not call upon another god with Allah and do not slay the soul, which Allah has forbidden except in the requirements of justice, and (who) do not commit fornication and he who does this shall find a requital of sin; 68 of sin-doubled shall be the chastisement for him on the Resurrection Day, and he shall dwell therein humbled, 69 But only those who repent and believe and act righteously will have their sins replaced by virtue; God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 70 and whosoever repents, and does righteousness, he truly turns to God in repentance. 71 And those who do not give false testimony, and when they pass near some indecency, they pass by it saving their honour. 72 who, when reminded of the revelations of their Lord, do not try to ignore them as though deaf and blind. Rather, they try to understand and think about them. 73 And those who say: "O Lord, give us comfort in our spouses and children, and make us paragons of those who follow the straight path." 74 They will be awarded the high place forasmuch as they were steadfast, and they will meet therein with welcome and the ward of peace, 75 They will live therein forever, the best abode and place of rest. 76 Say (to the Rejecters): "My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected (Him), and soon will come the inevitable (punishment)!" 77
