Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Again, yes certainly, you will soon realise! 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that Day, you will be called to account for all the bounties you enjoyed. 8
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
