The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
