We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people, "Do you not fear?" 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. - 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
