Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 and nay, I swear by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 Others will be despondent, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
