The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
