The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
