Abraham (Ibrahim)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif, Lam, Ra. [This is] a Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that you might bring mankind out of darknesses into the light by permission of their Lord - to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy - 1 To God belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Woe to the disbelievers; they will face the most severe punishment! 2 such as prefer the present life over the world to come, and bar from God's way, desiring to make it crooked -- they are in far error. 3 AND NEVER have We sent forth any apostle otherwise than [with a message] in his own people's tongue, so that he might make [the truth] clear unto them; but God lets go astray him that wills [to go astray,] and guides him that wills [to be guided] - for He alone is almighty, truly wise. 4 And We certainly sent Moses with Our signs, [saying], "Bring out your people from darknesses into the light and remind them of the days of Allah." Indeed in that are signs for everyone patient and grateful. 5 Moses told his people, "Remember the favors that God granted you when He saved you from the people of the Pharaoh who had punished you in the worst manner by murdering your sons and keeping your women alive. It was a great trial for you from your Lord. 6
