1/4 Hizb 35

And said the chiefs of those who disbelieved among his people and belied the meeting of the Hereafter and whom We had luxuriated in the life of the world: this is no other than a human being like unto you; he eateth of that whereof ye eat, and he drinketh of that which ye drink. 33 And if you should obey a man like yourselves, indeed, you would then be losers. 34 Does he promise you that after you die and become dust and bones you will be brought back to life again? 35 ۞ Far-fetched, utterly far-fetched is what you are being promised. 36 There is only the life of this world: We die and we live: there is no rising from the dead for us. 37 He is but a man who hath fabricated against God a lie, and in him we are not going to be believers. 38 He said: my Lord! vindicate for they belie me. 39 Answered (the Lord): "They shall wake up repenting soon." 40 So the punishment overtook them in justice, and We made them as rubbish; so away with the unjust people. 41 After them We produced other generations 42 [for,] no community can ever forestall [the end of] its term - and neither can they delay [its coming]. 43 Then We sent Our Messengers in succession. Yet whenever its Messenger came to a nation they belied him, so We made them follow others, and We made them but as tales, so begone the nation who did not believe! 44 Then We sent Musa and his brother Haroun, with Our communications and a clear authority, 45 unto Pharaoh and his great ones; but these behaved with arrogance, for they were people wont to glorify [only] themselves. 46 They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?" 47 So they rejected them and became of those who were destroyed. 48 And indeed We gave Moosa the Book, that they may attain guidance. 49 And We made the son of Maryam and his mother a sign; and We sheltered the twain on a height: a quiet abode and running water. 50
