[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 Surely this community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so fear Me.' 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 So leave them in their error for a time. 54 Do they think that We enlarge them in wealth and children, 55 have no other purpose except to help them in acquiring material benefits? No indeed. But they do not understand. 56 Surely they who from fear of their Lord are cautious, 57 And those who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 'Groan not today; surely you shall not be helped from Us. 65 For when My revelations were read out to you, you turned back on your heels and fled 66 "In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night." 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them? So the reward of your Lord is the best; and He is the Best Provider of Sustenance. 72 (Muhammad), you certainly have called them to the right path, 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 (They are such) that We seized them with chastisement (and yet) they did not humble themselves before their Lord, nor do they entreat 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
