And We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose; this is what the disbelievers assume; therefore ruin is for the disbelievers, by the fire. 27 Shall We treat those who believe and do good like the mischief-makers in the earth? Or shall We make those who guard (against evil) like the wicked? 28 (Here is) a Book which We have sent down unto thee, full of blessings, that they may mediate on its Signs, and that men of understanding may receive admonition. 29 And to Dawud (David) We gave Sulaiman (Solomon). How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 30 When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers 31 And he said: "Alas! I did love the good (these horses) instead of remembering my Lord (in my 'Asr prayer)" till the time was over, and (the sun) had hidden in the veil (of night). 32 (he ordered): “Bring these horses back to me,” and then he began to gently stroke their shanks and necks. 33 And, indeed We did try Sulaiman (Solomon) and We placed on his throne Jasadan (a devil, so he lost his kingdom for a while) but he did return (to his throne and kingdom by the Grace of Allah and he did return) to Allah with obedience and in repentance. 34 He said: “My Lord, forgive me and bestow upon me a kingdom such as none other after me will deserve. Surely You are the Bounteous Giver.” 35 And so We made subservient to him the wind, so that it gently sped at his behest whithersoever he willed, 36 and We also subjected the devils to him -- all kinds of builders and divers; 37 And also others bound in fetters. 38 “This is Our bestowal – you may therefore bestow favours or withhold them – you will not be questioned.” 39 And he had a near place in Our presence and a fair resort. 40
