The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By heaven and the night-star! 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the piercing star - 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
