And recite to them the news of Ibrahim. 69 He said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship' 70 They said, 'We serve idols, and continue cleaving to them. 71 He said: hearken they unto you when ye cry? 72 Or, benefit they you or hurt they you? 73 They replied: 'No, but we found our fathers doing so' 74 (Abraham) said, "Do you know that what you worship 75 "You and your forefathers preceding you." 76 "They are all my enemies, except the Lord Of The Creation." 77 "Who has created me, and it is He Who guides me; 78 He Who feedeth me and giveth me to drink. 79 "And when I am ill, it is He Who cures me; 80 who makes me to die, then gives me life, 81 And Who, I ardently hope, will forgive me my sin on the Day of Judgment. 82 My Lord: Grant me wisdom, and join me with the good 83 And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity 84 And make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Delight. 85 And forgive my father; verily he is of the erring. 86 Do not betray me 87 "The Day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail, 88 Save him who bringeth unto Allah a whole heart. 89 And Paradise will be brought close for the pious. 90 "And to those straying in Evil, the Fire will be placed in full view; 91 they will be asked, "Where are those whom you worshipped 92 "Instead of Allah? Will they help you or retaliate?" 93 The idol worshippers, the idols, the rebellious ones, 94 and Satan's legions, all together. 95 There they will quarrel with one another and the erring ones will say (to their deities): 96 "By God, we were most obviously astray 97 When we made you equal with the Lord of the Worlds. 98 Only the sinful ones made us go astray. 99 "So now we do not have any intercessors." The believers shall have intercessors, the disbelievers none. 100 Nor a close friend (to help us). 101 If we could only return to the world and be among the believers." 102 In this there is evidence (of the truth), but many of them do not have any faith. 103 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 104
