Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I am purely a Herald of Warning – and there is no God except Allah, the One, the All Dominant.” 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 (Allah) said: "Then get out from here, for verily, you are outcast. 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 Allah said: verily, thou art of those respited. 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 excepting those Thy servants among them that are sincere.' 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for this, and I am no simulating. 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
