Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
37 verses, revealed in Mecca after Smoke (Al-Dukhaan) before The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
HA MIM. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Indeed, there are signs in the heavens and earth for believers, 3 And in the creation of yourselves and the fact that animals are scattered (through the earth), are Signs for those of assured Faith. 4 and in the alternation of the night and day, in the provision Allah sends down from heaven with which the earth is revived after its death, and in the changing about of the winds, there are signs for people who understand. 5 Those are the signs of God that We recite to thee in truth; in what manner of discourse then, after God and His signs, will they believe? 6 Woe to every sinful liar, 7 Who heareth the revelations of Allah rehearsed unto him, and yet persisteth with stiff-neckedness as though he heard them not. Announce thou unto him, then, a torment afflictive. 8 And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty. 9 Gehenna (Hell) is behind them, all that they have earned shall not help them at all, nor shall those they took as guardians, other than Allah. For them there is a mighty punishment. 10 This (Qur'an) is the true guidance. Those who deny the Signs of their Lord shall suffer the torment of a woeful scourge. 11
