Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 "Taste your trial. This is what you sought to hasten." 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
