Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Then We facilitated your birth. How well do We calculate! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 "Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame." 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 as black camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be you and the earlier generations. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
