The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 who determined and guided, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
