Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None but God can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
