Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah) 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account). 4 They gave the lie to the Truth when it came to them. So they are now in a state of great perplexity. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it solid mountains and We brought forth from it all kinds of delightful plants, 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 We have sent blessed water down from the sky to grow gardens, harvestable crops 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah and the men of Er-Rass, and Thamood, 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
