Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Surely the godfearing shall be among gardens and fountains 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your sustenance and what you are threatened with. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
