Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 Thamud, 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
Almighty Allah's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
