Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is it timed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
