Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And lo! it is in the Scriptures of the men of old. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
