SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say, "It is great news 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 I had no knowledge of the Exalted Assembly when they argued [against the creation of man]: 69 It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner." 70 When your Lord said to the angels; Surely I am going to create a mortal from dust: 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 My condemnation will be with you until the Day of Judgment!" 78 He (satan) replied: 'Respite me my Lord till the Day of Resurrection' 79 The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He said, “Therefore, by oath of Your honour, I will surely mislead all of them.” 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 "It (this Quran) is only a Reminder for all the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 87 And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time." 88
