The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 by the Promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
