The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 As they sat around it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
