The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the late morning, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And He found thee destitute, so He enriched thee. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him]. 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
