And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And well do We know that thy bosom is constricted by the [blasphemous] things that they say: 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
