Hast thou not seen how thy Lord hath spread the shade - And if He willed He could have made it still - then We have made the sun its pilot; 45 Then We draw it back to Us, withdrawing it little by little. 46 It is He who has made the night as a covering for you, sleep as a rest for you, and the day for you to rise again. 47 And it is He who has loosed the winds, bearing good tidings before His mercy; and We sent down from heaven pure water 48 To quicken a region that was dead, and to give it as drink to animals We have created and to men in plenty. 49 We have indeed turned it about amongst them, so that they may remember; yet most men refuse all but unbelief. 50 Had it been Our Will, We could have sent a warner to every centre of population. 51 So obey not the unbelievers, but struggle with them thereby mightily. 52 ۞ And it is He, Who has let loose the two seas, one palatable and sweet, the other bitter and saltish, and there is a partition between them, which is an insurmountable barrier. 53 And He it is who out of this [very] water has created man, and has endowed him with [the consciousness of] descent and marriage-tie: for thy Sustainer is ever infinite in His power. 54 And they serve, apart from God, what neither profits them nor hurts them; and the unbeliever is ever a partisan against his Lord. 55 And We have not sent you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) except as a Herald of glad tidings and warnings. 56 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (that which I have brought from my Lord and its preaching, etc.), save that whosoever wills, may take a Path to his Lord. 57 Also trust in the Living One who never dies and glorify Him with His praise. He has sufficient knowledge of the sins of His servants. 58 He created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them in six spans then assumed His authority. He is the benevolent: Ask those who are well-informed. 59 When you say to them: "Bow before Ar-Rahman," they say: "What is Ar-Rahman? Should we adore whoever you ask us to?" And their aversion increases further. ۩ 60
